Craft Stick Messages

These craft sticks have messages printed on them and can be added to a table centerpiece. Some ideas for table centerpieces could be a bouquet of flowers or in a gift bag of Valentine wishes. Supplies needed:

red construction paper or cardstock
scissors
craft sticks(tongue depressors)
white glue
markers, glitter pens, crayons or stickers
small plain paper gift bag(about 4 inches by 6 inches)
red, pink or white tissue paper

Cut out several heart shapes(each heart 2 inches by 2 inches) from the red construction paper. An easy and quicker way to do this is to fold the construction paper into rectangles (accordian style). Draw a few heart shapes and cut them out with the remaining construction paper still folded into rectangles. Print Valentine messages on the back of the craft sticks such as"Pick me, U-R-Cool, Be Mine", or whatever you like. Glue the paper hearts to the front of the craft sticks. Decorate the front of the sticks with markers, glitter pens, crayons or stickers. Decorate the gift bag as well. Place some red, white or pink tissue paper in the bag and arrange the craft sticks on top of the tissue so you can see them sticking up out of the bag. Now you have finished your gift bag of wishes.
